EWGA came into being in 1991, when 5 women got together to discuss the need for women to utilize the game of golf both for recreational and business purposes. The Las Vegas Chapter was formed in 1994 to offer our community the benefit of organized golf for women golfers of all skill levels. Wildhorse Golf Club is our home course for 2012, which we play the first Sunday of the month. Each month our second event is held at a different course across the valley. Meeting the Salt Lake Chapter in St George UT was a great event. They are a great bunch of ladies with the same interests as ours. We shared stories about our chapters and gained some new ideas or events. Oh yes, we played great golf except for Saturday when Mother Nature was not kind, but all was not lost. We found other things to do: shopping, quilt show, watching gold on TV and the all time favorite, an afternoon nap.
