Welcome to the web site for the Las Vegas Chapter of the EWGA.

First a little bit about us. The Las Vegas Chapter has been promoting golf for women in the Las Vegas Valley for over 15 years. We have regularly scheduled golf events in which all levels of golfer can participate We also invite guests to participate. We welcome spouses of members and significant others. In addition to golf events we have social events so you can get to know other female golfers in our chapter.

Our annual Kick-Off is usually held in March. This is a grand event, including lots great food a fashion show, a raffle and presentations by local golf professionals. We have an exciting new year ahead of us for EWGA Las Vegas. One of the unique features of EWGA is that it is a national organization with chapters all over the United States. As such we conduct a chapter championship event,flighted golf tournament, each year in May. This is a qualifying event for regional and national tournaments. All player levels are welcomed to participate and each year we usually see one of our members or a scramble team advance to the national tournament. We encourage all of our members to participate as there are lifelong friendships and some fun team rivalries that develop during these series of events.

The web site is a major form of communication for us and lists our calendar of events and contact information. Check back often for announcements, the event schedule, golf tips, learning and lesson opportunities and more.

Guest Policy

In an effort to provide our members with some benefits and to encourage our guests and potential new members to join EWGA, the Board of Directors has changed our guest policy. Effective May 1, 2010, all guests will pay an increased fee for any golf or social events they attend. We have had some discussion on enforcing the two event limit for guests at our events with the possible exception of spouses. Just as a reminder, men are permitted and encouraged to join EWGA.

Golf Policy

EWGA has made arrangements with local golf courses for your convenience. Specific dates, times and rates have been arranged. In order to do this, we need to notify the course in advance with the exact number of players we will have participating and EWGA is financially responsible for that number of players. Effective May 1, 2010, all golf events must be prepaid by the deadline date. If you have not prepaid, a spot will not be held for you. However, you may call or e-mail Debbie Simone after that date to see if she has any openings and she can fit you into a group. All payments must be sent to Treasurer, Sharon Moderow or her designated collector. The rate listed is the rate to be paid and the course is not to be paid directly in any circumstances.
